Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of QRFunk at qrfunk.com and related services (“Service”). By creating an account, claiming a code, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

QRFunk lets users claim short URLs linked from QR codes and configure what visitors see when they scan — including contact cards, landing pages, downloads, calendars, and other functions we make available. Functions may change, be added, or be retired over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.
  • One person or organisation should not register handles intended to impersonate others or infringe trademarks.

3. Your content & codes

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service (including serving scans and sending emails you initiate).

Published code content is publicly accessible to anyone with the URL or QR code. You are solely responsible for what you publish and for having rights to use any materials you upload or link.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use QRFunk to:

  • Violate laws or third-party rights (including privacy, IP, and anti-spam rules).
  • Distribute malware, phishing, or deceptive content.
  • Harass, threaten, or publish illegal or exploitative material.
  • Attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts.
  • Scrape or overload the Service in ways that impair others.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk, with or without notice where urgent.

5. Unclaimed & demo codes

Blank or demo codes may be used to preview functions before claiming. Unclaimed codes remain available until someone completes the claim process. We do not guarantee indefinite availability of any particular unclaimed code.

6. Email & messaging

The Service may send email on your behalf (e.g. file delivery, contact inquiries you configure). You must only send messages to recipients who expect them and comply with applicable email laws.

7. Fees

Core features may be offered free during early access. Paid plans, if introduced, will be described separately. We may change pricing with reasonable notice where required.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that scans will always resolve correctly on every device or network.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QRFunk AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, except where caused by our intentional misconduct.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply. Disputes should first be raised at hello@qrfunk.com.

13. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page. Material changes may be notified by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
